Nigerian Army Denies Attack on Bishop Kukah's Residence

The Nigerian Army has responded to false reports circulating on social media regarding an alleged attack on the residence of Bishop Matthew Kukah, who is the Bishop of the Sokoto Diocese. In a statement released by the Deputy Director of Army Public Relations for the 8 Division, Nigerian Army Sector 2, Olaniyi Osoba, the Army categorically debunked the unfounded claims.

The statement emphasized that there was no attack in Sokoto State and assured that the safety and security of Bishop Kukah and the Sokoto Catholic Cathedral remain intact. It was noted that Bishop Kukah is currently fulfilling his Easter duties without any disruption.
