Arthur Eze Offers Scholarships to 50 NWU Students

Arthur Eze, the Chairman of Oranto Petroleum, has announced a scholarship program for 50 undergraduate students at Northwest University Sokoto (NWU) for the 2026/2027 academic session. The initiative, detailed in a letter dated May 8, 2026, is designed to support students facing financial challenges and to help them excel academically and contribute to society.

The first phase of the program will cover students enrolled in full-time degree programs across various faculties at the university. The scholarships will cover either tuition fees or accommodation, depending on arrangements approved by the university.

Beneficiaries will be selected based on academic merit and financial need, with the scholarship continuing throughout the duration of their chosen degree program, provided they maintain good academic standing and discipline. Eze expressed respect for the university's founder, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, acknowledging his contributions to advancing education in Nigeria.

The Vice Chancellor of NWU, Professor Mukhtar Umar Bunza, expressed gratitude for the scholarship offer, describing it as a transformative intervention that will ease the burden on deserving students.
