Atiku Abubakar Launches Campaign Council with Key Appointments

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has formed a National Campaign Council and Presidential Campaign Management Committee, emphasizing a lean and strategically structured approach. The announcement was made by Atiku’s Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu.

The Council, reflecting the economic realities of Nigeria, aims to operate without excess, focusing on competence and accountability. Kashim Ibrahim-Imam has been appointed as Chairman, with Nasir El-Rufai serving as Deputy Chairman, bringing extensive experience in public administration and political organization.

Senator Austin Akobundu, representing Abia Central, has been named Director-General and Campaign Manager, responsible for the campaign's day-to-day operations. The campaign is organized into six operational directorates, each led by a Deputy Director-General, and includes 30 Directors with specific responsibilities to ensure accountability and reduce bureaucracy.

Dele Momodu will head the Media and Communications Directorate.
