Ndukuba Honors Awolowo's Legacy of Selfless Leadership

On Monday, during a dinner organized by the Chief Obafemi Awolowo family at Efunyela Hall in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, Most Rev. Dr Henry Ndukuba, the Archbishop, Metropolitan, and Primate of the Church of Nigeria, honored the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, describing him as a leader who exemplified selflessness and service to humanity. Ndukuba urged contemporary leaders to follow Awolowo's example, highlighting that true leadership is about serving others rather than personal interests.

He drew parallels between Awolowo's life and the teachings of Jesus Christ, emphasizing that effective leadership requires a strong spiritual and moral foundation. Ndukuba reflected on the significance of Awolowo’s residence, particularly the chapel, which symbolizes the late leader's commitment to faith and the need for leaders to seek wisdom before serving the people.
