Bandits Attack Mosque in Kaduna, Kill One and Abduct Three

On Sunday night, bandits attacked a mosque in Unguwar Namama Village, Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna, during the Maghrib prayer, resulting in the death of one worshipper and injuries to two others. Three residents were abducted during the attack.

Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants arrived on motorcycles and opened fire, causing panic among worshippers. Mansir Hassan, a spokesperson for the Kaduna State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that security agencies have launched efforts to rescue the abducted victims and restore calm in the affected community.

In a separate incident earlier, nine farmers were abducted near Iburu Village in the Kufana District of Kajuru Local Government Area while working on their farmland. Community leaders reported that three of the abducted farmers were released, while the others remain in captivity.

Security agencies have been urged to act urgently to prevent further attacks and ensure the safe release of the victims.
