Sokoto Governor's Aide Urges Unity Against Banditry

Col. Ahmed Usman (Rtd), the Special Adviser on Security Matters to Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu, called on political leaders and stakeholders to set aside partisan differences and unite against banditry and security challenges in Sokoto. He stated that bandits do not recognize political affiliations when attacking victims, emphasizing the need for collective action to protect citizens.

Usman acknowledged the right of opposition politicians to critique government policies but urged them to contribute constructively to addressing insecurity. He praised Senator Aliyu Wamakko for his ongoing support for victims of banditry and efforts to mobilize resources for solutions to the security crisis.

Usman encouraged all political leaders to demonstrate genuine concern for residents' security and wellbeing, urging them to bring forward ideas and support security initiatives. He also called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, and the public to assist security agencies with credible information to prevent attacks and apprehend criminals, assuring that the Sokoto State Government is committed to enhancing security operations.
