Bauchi Police Investigate Death of Abdullahi Adamu

The Bauchi State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of 20-year-old Abdullahi Adamu, who reportedly died after being interrogated by police personnel in Misau Local Government Area. A statement issued by the command's spokesperson, Nafiu Habib, indicated that the police became aware of the situation through social media reports alleging that Adamu was assaulted during his interrogation.

Following the incident, Adamu was admitted to the Federal Medical Centre in Misau and later referred to ATBUTH Bauchi for further treatment, where he was confirmed dead. The Commissioner of Police, Sani Omolori, has ordered a full-scale investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and assured that justice will be served.

The command also stated that appropriate disciplinary and legal actions will be taken against any personnel found culpable. Additionally, the command extended its condolences to the family of the deceased.
