Family Demands Justice for Abdullahi Bello's Killing

The family of Abdullahi Bello is demanding justice following his death, which they attribute to a case of mistaken identity. Bello was reportedly attacked by a mob in Rantiya, Jos South Local Government Area, Plateau State.

His sister, Hannatu Bello, stated that he left home on a Sunday and did not return, prompting the family to contact the police. They later discovered he had been found unconscious and was rushed to a hospital in Dadin Kowa.

Upon examination, it was revealed that he had sustained severe injuries, including machete wounds and strangulation, with blood coming from his mouth. Hannatu described the killing as inhuman and called on the Plateau State Police Command to investigate the incident and bring those responsible to justice.

She also mentioned that Bello's mobile phone remains in police custody and urged for an examination of call records to identify the last person he spoke to. The family believes that the government will ensure justice is served.
