SAZU Graduates 216 First-Class Students in Bauchi

Saadu Zungur University (SAZU) in Bauchi announced that it will graduate a total of 11,813 undergraduate students, including 216 first-class students, during its 8th, 9th, and 10th combined convocation ceremony scheduled for March 27-28, 2026. The announcement was made by Vice Chancellor Professor Fatimah Tahir.

The graduating class comprises 8,387 male students (71%) and 3,426 female students (29%). Among the graduates, 216 students achieved first-class honors, representing 1.83% of the total.

Additionally, 3,438 students (29.10%) earned second-class honors upper division, 5,563 students (47.09%) received second-class honors lower division, 243 students (2.06%) attained third-class honors, and 443 students graduated at the postgraduate level, including 25 PhDs. The convocation ceremony will feature a lecture by Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo titled "Education, Security, and Sustainable Development: The Role of Universities in Northern Nigeria," with degrees conferred on graduates on March 28, 2026, at the university stadium.
