OK Movement Explains Restraint During Obi's Convoy Blockade

The OK Movement, a political platform supporting the joint ticket of Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate Peter Obi and his running mate Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, addressed the blockade of Obi's convoy during his visit to Benue State. John Ughulu, the Director-General and founder of the movement, stated that their security personnel chose not to retaliate to prevent escalation into violence.

He emphasized that this decision was a demonstration of leadership and responsibility, not a sign of weakness. Ughulu asserted that Obi has the constitutional right to campaign anywhere in Nigeria and condemned any attempts to intimidate or obstruct political movements through violence.

He warned that while they would act responsibly, they would also take lawful measures to protect their members if provoked again. Ughulu urged security agencies to investigate the incident and prosecute those responsible for any wrongdoing.
