Bolujoko Backs Salako, Calls for Unity in Kwara South

Hon. Georg Bolujoko has officially withdrawn from the 2027 Kwara State governorship race, declaring his support for Dr.

Azeez Salako Muyideen Olaniyi. In a statement issued in Ilorin on Monday, Bolujoko emphasized the need for unity among political stakeholders in the Kwara South senatorial district, urging them to rally behind a single candidate.

He stated that the collective interest of the district must take precedence over individual ambitions, especially during critical moments for Kwara South. Bolujoko's decision follows extensive consultations with leaders and stakeholders across the district.

He warned that internal rivalries among aspirants could weaken the district's chances of political advantage. The former aspirant also supported a proposed power-sharing framework aimed at equitable distribution of major political offices among the Igbomina, Ibolo, and Ekiti ethnic blocs within Kwara South.

He called on all governorship aspirants from the region to make sacrifices and unite behind Dr. Salako to strengthen their quest for power in the 2027 elections.
