Zulum Advocates for APC Power to Secure Federal Aid for Borno

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, stated that Borno needs the All Progressives Congress (APC) to maintain power at the federal level to attract necessary federal government intervention. Speaking to a large crowd of party supporters in Maiduguri, Zulum called for support for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the upcoming 2027 elections, highlighting Shettima's roots in the state.

He expressed that without the APC in power, Borno would struggle to gain the required federal attention during times of need. Zulum acknowledged past mistakes made by his administration and emphasized the importance of peace for development.

He mentioned that Mustapha Gubio was selected as the APC governorship candidate by divine will and urged the electorate to re-elect the APC to continue the state's recovery from Boko Haram attacks. Zulum also reaffirmed his commitment to youth and women's empowerment and announced that the APC would resume its political tour across all 27 local government areas of Borno.
