Kwara State Rescues Two Children from Kidnappers

On Thursday, the Kwara State Government reported the successful rescue of two kidnapped children, 16-year-old Fatima Azeez and her five-year-old brother Ibrahim, by a security team that included the Department of State Services (DSS) and other operatives. The rescue operation took place in a forest in the Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.

During the operation, two armed bandits were killed, while others reportedly escaped with severe injuries. The security team recovered several items, including an AK-47 rifle, a single-barrel gun, a fully loaded magazine, nine empty magazines, a mini solar charger, and food items.

This operation is part of a multi-agency counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping effort, as declared by government sources.
