Makinde Selected as APM Presidential Candidate for 2023

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has emerged as the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Movement (APM) ahead of the upcoming general elections. His selection followed a unanimous endorsement by the party's leadership, which was praised by the national chairman of APM, Alhaji Yusuf Dantali.

Dantali described the selection process as peaceful, transparent, and orderly, marking a significant moment in Nigeria's political history. The endorsement was officially confirmed with the presentation of the party's certificate and flag to Makinde.

He is set to challenge the incumbent president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the elections. The support for Makinde's candidacy was unanimous among the 36 state chairmen of the APM, indicating strong backing within the party.
