Christian Association of Nigeria in Kwara Declares Neutrality

The Christian Association of Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter, represented by its chairman, Bishop Sundai Adewol, declared its intention to remain neutral and non-partisan as the 2027 general elections approach. The association emphasized its primary concern is to ensure the conduct of peaceful, free, fair, and credible polls across Nigeria.

In a statement made available on Friday, the association distanced itself from recent political endorsements allegedly linked to Christian group leaders in the state. It clarified that any endorsements made by individuals or groups do not represent the official position of the Kwara State Chapter.

The association reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peace, unity, justice, and moral values, while remaining apolitical in electoral matters. This statement comes amid increasing political consultations and grassroots mobilization efforts in Kwara State as various political actors prepare for the upcoming elections.
