Container Truck Collides with LAWMA Vehicle in Lagos

A 20-foot container truck rammed into a broken-down Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) truck at Apakun, inward Iyana-Isolo, Lagos State. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) reported the incident on its official X account, sharing a video of the accident scene.

LASTMA's rescue team was dispatched, and a crane machine along with a high-capacity tow truck was activated to clear the vehicles and restore traffic flow. The agency confirmed that a casualty was taken to the hospital, but did not disclose the identity or condition of the victim.

The accident raised concerns regarding the safety of heavy-duty vehicles on Lagos roads, as breakdowns can lead to significant obstructions and increase the risk of further collisions.
