Delta Orders Arrest After Attack on Governor's Aide

The Delta State Government has mandated security agencies to track down and prosecute individuals responsible for the violent attack on Simon Mudi, also known as Temple, who serves as a protocol aide to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. This incident occurred during the Delta Central APC Stakeholders’ meeting at the Petroleum Training Institute in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area on Sunday.

The State Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, issued a statement on Tuesday condemning the attack, which left Mudi with life-threatening injuries, as seen in circulating videos.

Additionally, Comrade Reuben Izeze, the state commissioner for works (Urban/Highways), was also attacked during the incident. Aniagwu emphasized that the Oborevwori administration will not tolerate violence and warned that those involved would face legal consequences.

He reiterated the government's commitment to maintaining peace and order in the state.
