Driver Kills Bishop in Delta, Flees to Anambra with Jeep

A driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly killed his employer, a Pentecost bishop, in Asaba, Delta State. Following the murder, the driver fled with the victim's Toyota Prado Jeep to Nkpor in Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The Anambra State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner Ikioy Orutugu, disclosed during a press briefing that the driver attempted to sell the stolen vehicle when he was apprehended. The arrest was made possible through a swift intelligence-led operation by the Rapid Response Squad in Awkuzu.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver was a domestic staff member of the bishop and had conspired with unidentified criminal elements to commit the murder. The police have recovered the stolen vehicle and are continuing investigations to apprehend other members of the criminal gang involved in this incident.
