EFCC denies alleged raid on musician, Felix Duke’s hotel in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has refuted claims of a raid on musician and hotel owner Felix Duke's hotel in Lagos. Duke alleged that eight armed men arrived at his hotel on August 1, claiming to be EFCC operatives, vandalized the property, and stole foreign currency.

However, the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, denied any connection to the reported incident, stating that no such operation took place in Lagos. Oyewale further mentioned that the agency's recent operation in Lagos occurred at Chevron on Lagos Island, resulting in several arrests.

Duke suggested that the incident may be linked to an ongoing land dispute involving a retired soldier who had previously petitioned the EFCC. The EFCC advised Duke to focus his energy elsewhere and redirect any insinuations towards the agency.
