Enweremadu Withdraws from Senate Race to Support Atuma

Christoph Enweremadu, the former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, announced his withdrawal from the Abia Central senatorial contest set for May 18, 2023. He made this decision to support Chief Emeka Atuma, who is backed by the Equity Movement.

This endorsement was publicly declared during a stakeholders' meeting held on Sunday in Isialangwa North Local Government Area of Abia State. The meeting, attended by political leaders, party members, and youth representatives, expressed confidence in Bola Tinubu's leadership and called for support for his re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.

The Equity Movement emphasized the importance of political equity and balance within the senatorial zone, advocating for Atuma's candidacy while respecting an agreement to allow the Ikwuano Local Government Area to complete its four-year tenure. Enweremadu's decision aims to foster unity and harmony within the senatorial zone.
