Fabregas Wins Serie A Coach of the Year with Como

Cesc Fabregas has been honored as the Serie A Coach of the Year for the 2025/26 season during the Gran Galà del Calcio AIC ceremony at Teatro alla Scala in Milan. This recognition marks Fabregas as the third non-Italian manager to receive this award, following Sven-Göran Eriksson and José Mourinho.

Under Fabregas's management, Como achieved a historic fourth-place finish in Serie A, earning the club its first Champions League qualification with a total of 71 points, trailing only behind Inter Milan, Napoli, and Roma. The award was presented by the Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC), which also recognized Inter Milan as the Club of the Year.

The ceremony acknowledged outstanding performers from the season, with Federico Dimarco named the overall best player and Como's Nico Paz awarded the Young Player of the Year. Fabregas's achievement is a significant milestone in his managerial career, reflecting Como's remarkable rise in Italian football.
