Fashola Urges Proper Briefing for Nigerian Ambassadors

Former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola has called on President Bola Tinubu to ensure that newly appointed Nigerian ambassadors, especially non-career diplomats, are thoroughly briefed on the country's policies, economy, and investment framework before taking up their roles. Fashola made this recommendation during a keynote address at the Nigerian Reputation Summit 2026 program organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations in Abuja.

He emphasized the importance of ambassadors being well-equipped with up-to-date policy information to effectively represent Nigeria's interests abroad.
