Father Seeks Justice After Truck Kills Son in Ekiti

Mr. Rufu Farotimi is calling for urgent assistance and justice following a tragic incident in Aramoko, Ekiti West Local Government Area, Ekiti State, where a heavy-duty truck lost control and crashed into his home. The accident, reported to have occurred over the weekend in the Ok Ila area, resulted in the death of his 21-year-old son, Promis Farotimi, who was a 300-level student at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, and was asleep at the time.

Mr. Farotimi described the incident as a devastating double tragedy, leaving him homeless and bereaved. He lamented the loss of his son and the destruction of their home, stating that they have lost everything and are now without shelter or clothing.

The truck driver fled the scene immediately after the crash, but residents apprehended the driver’s assistant, who is popularly known as "Oper Boi.".
