Garki Traditional Council Congratulates AMAC Election Winner

The Garki Traditional Council, represented by Mr. Lazarus Nyaholo, issued a statement on Tuesday appealing to political actors in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to avoid political tensions following the recent council elections.

Nyaholo emphasized the importance of maintaining a peaceful atmosphere, which was observed throughout the election campaign and the electoral process. He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for their roles in ensuring a rancor-free election, which he described as a significant milestone in the political evolution of the council area towards a blossoming democracy that represents grassroots governance.

Nyaholo congratulated Mr. Christoph Zaka Maikalangu, the winner of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) elections, describing his victory as well-deserved.

He advised that security operations should be observed correctly to enhance the success of future elections, particularly the upcoming 2027 general elections.
