Wike Elevates Kwali Monarch to First Class Chief Status

On Monday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), announced the elevation of Luka Ayedoo Nizassan III, the Etsu Kwali, to the status of a First Class chief. This announcement was made during Wike's visit to the Kwali Area Council.

Wike expressed gratitude for the warm reception he received and highlighted the role of traditional rulers in supporting President Bola Tinubu's ambitions for the 2027 elections. The upgrade of the Kwali monarch's stool to a First Class status is seen as a significant recognition of the Etsu Kwali's contributions to peace, unity, and the promotion of cultural heritage, particularly among the Gbagyi people in the FCT.

Luka Ayedoo Nizassan III assumed office following the passing of the former ruler and has been recognized for his commitment to these values.
