FG Launches Committee for Digital Transformation in Civil Service

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), inaugurated an 11-member Technical Working Committee (TWC) to implement the digital transformation agenda approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for the Federal Civil Service. Mrs Eno Olotu, Director of Press and Public Relations at OHCSF, announced this development in Abuja, emphasizing a shift from policy approval to structured implementation.

The committee is tasked with developing the architecture, roadmap, and governance mechanisms necessary for a connected, efficient, secure, and citizen-focused digital environment. Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, described this initiative as a significant milestone in the reform of the Federal Civil Service.

She stressed the need for a comprehensive Digital Transformation Implementation Framework covering various aspects such as policy, governance, cybersecurity, and capacity development. The initiative aligns with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and aims to support national development under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
