FG's Ade-John Leads Efforts to Resolve Niger Traffic Crisis

The Federal Government is taking steps to alleviate transportation issues in Niger State, particularly focusing on the severe congestion at the Wuya Bridge between Bida and Kutigi. This initiative follows a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for urgent action to address the worsening traffic situation.

Prince Adetokunbo Ademola Ade-John, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Transportation and Mobility, collaborated with officials from the Federal Ministry of Works, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and road transport operators to devise immediate measures for restoring traffic flow. The traffic disruptions have been particularly pronounced along the Bida–Badeggi–Agaie Road and near the Maje–Diko Junction, where vehicles have faced blockages for approximately two weeks.

This congestion has adversely affected passengers and freight operators, leading to increased travel delays. Ade-John emphasized the Presidency's commitment to resolving these transportation bottlenecks and urged cooperation from motorists and transport operators during the intervention.
