Kaduna Prepares for 2026 NIPR Week on Food Security

Kaduna State is preparing to host the 2026 annual week of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) from April 19 to 25, 2026. Malam Ahm Maiyaki outlined the state's significant milestones in food security and agricultural reforms, emphasizing its readiness for sustainable growth.

The conference will attract around 2,000 delegates, including global PR experts and policymakers, to examine strategies that bridge the gap between policy formulation and real impact on citizens. Maiyaki highlighted the state's recent initiatives, such as distributing 900 trucks of fertilizer to 200,000 smallholder farmers and enabling the enrollment of 300,000 school children.

The conference theme will focus on Nigeria's food security policy, aiming to demonstrate Kaduna's commitment to improving agricultural productivity and restoring commercial activities. Governor Uba Sani's administration has also upgraded 255 primary healthcare centers to strengthen grassroots healthcare delivery, further supporting food security and community stability.
