Former APC Chairman Found Dead After Bandit Abduction

The former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State was confirmed dead after being abducted by bandits. He was taken alongside his friend, Islamic cleric Muham Maibarga, earlier in June.

Maibarga, who is affiliated with Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'ah Wa Ikamatis Sunnah, was released three weeks ago. A video surfaced showing the late chairman being tortured and humiliated inside a forest.

The Kebbi State Police Command, represented by Public Relations Officer SP Bashir Usman, stated that investigations into the former chairman's death are ongoing.
