Four Dead in Osun Road Crash on Ilesa-Akure Expressway

On Thursday evening, a tragic road accident occurred along the Ilesa-Akure Expressway at Omi Asoro Junction in Osun State, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to ten others. The incident was confirmed by Agn Ogungbemi, a public education officer with the Federal Road Safety Corps, who provided details in a statement made available to journalists on Friday.

The crash involved a mini bus and a Toyota Hiace commercial vehicle, with the collision taking place around 9 PM. Among the deceased were three passengers, including two adult males and a female child, who were pronounced dead at the scene.

The injured included seven adults and three children, with the victims transported to Wesley Guild Hospital in Ilesa for treatment. The driver of the mini bus involved in the accident reportedly did not possess a valid driver's license.
