Osun Governor Adeleke's Ally Ajagungbade Emir Shot Dead

Olalekan Oyeyemi, popularly known as Ajagungbade Emir and an ally of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, was shot dead by suspected hoodlums on Sunday in Ile-Ife, reportedly over control of a garage. Following the incident, Governor Adeleke issued a statement through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, directing the Osun State Police Commissioner to apprehend all individuals involved in the killing.

He also instructed conflicting groups to vacate the motor parks immediately and announced the establishment of a Park Management System to restore order. Governor Adeleke called for calm among citizens and emphasized that law and order must be maintained, promising that all culprits would be held accountable.

He stated that security agencies are tasked with ensuring peace in the affected areas and that an Executive Order would soon be issued to formalize the new management system for parks and garages across the state.
