Kebbi Governor Idris Oversees APC Ward Congresses

On Wednesday, Kebbi State Governor Idris monitored the progress of the APC ward congresses taking place across the state. The congresses involved the election of party leaders in 225 wards and were characterized by a consensus arrangement.

Governor Idris observed the congress alongside prominent party stakeholders, including Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero. The state APC chairman, Abubakar Kana Zuru, reported that the governor visited select venues in Birnin Kebbi, including Kauran Gwandu Primary School and Justice Ibrahim Umar Primary School, where party members gathered for the exercise.

During his visit, Idris assured that the administration would collaborate with the newly elected ward executives to strengthen the party and advance development programs at the grassroots level. He stressed the importance of maintaining a strong ward structure for effective party organization and governance.

The congresses were conducted in strict adherence to party guidelines to ensure unity and avoid disputes among members, despite being held during the holy month of Ramadan.
