Delta State Urges Youths to Join Nigerian Defence Academy

The Delta State government, represented by Dr. Fred Latimor Oghenesivb, the Director General of the Delta State Bureau of Orientation and Communication, is encouraging qualified youths from Delta State to apply for the 78th regular course at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).

The application portal is officially open and will remain accessible until Thursday, April 30, 2026. The government emphasizes the importance of enhancing the state's representation within the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Eligible candidates, both male and female, must possess a minimum of five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, from recognized examinations such as GCE, SSCE, WAEC, or NECO. Additionally, applicants are required to register for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and select the Nigerian Defence Academy as their first choice.

Successful candidates will undergo a rigorous five-year program combining military training and academic studies, culminating in the award of a degree and a presidential commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
