Group Urges Plateau Government to Release White Paper

A group has called on the Plateau State Government to release a white paper concerning recent community attacks that have led to significant loss of lives and destruction of property. This appeal was made during a peace roundtable meeting held on a Sunday, which aimed to address the surge in violence in the state.

The communiqué issued at the end of the meeting emphasized the need for the government to implement the proposed white paper as a solution to the ongoing security challenges. The meeting was attended by key government officials, including Samuel Jatau, the Secretary of the Plateau State Government, and Juli Sanda, the Director General of the Plateau Peace Building Agency.

The communiqué, signed by Nanmak Bali, highlighted the importance of engaging regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and to utilize digital platforms for community storytelling and dialogue. The participants voted to thank the chair and members present for their valuable contributions.
