Kano Pilgrims Board Sets August 25 Deadline for Passports

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj must submit their valid international passports by August 25, 2026. This directive was issued by the board's Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, on behalf of the Director-General, Alhaji Abubakar Matawalle.

The deadline is aimed at ensuring timely registration and documentation of all intending pilgrims before the commencement of the Hajj process. The Director-General emphasized that any registered intending pilgrim who does not submit their passport by the deadline may not receive a Hajj seat.

This measure is particularly important due to the expected closure of the Saudi Arabian Hajj registration server at the end of August. The board has urged all intending pilgrims in Kano State to submit their passports promptly to avoid any consequences from non-compliance with the deadline.
