DSS Arrests Suspected Gunrunner in Cross River State

The Department of State Services (DSS) arrested a suspected gunrunner named Kelvin Ebikeniy Dugo in Odukpani Local Government Area, Cross River State. The arrest was based on credible intelligence regarding Dugo's plan to build 832 rounds of live ammunition.

During the operation, the DSS intercepted Dugo while he was receiving a consignment that was concealed within food items. In addition to the ammunition, two empty AK-47 magazines were recovered.

Sources indicate that the DSS is intensifying its pursuit of criminals and has launched sustained operations across the state and nationwide. This operation is part of the DSS's commitment to dismantling gun-running syndicates and curbing the proliferation of illegal arms in Nigeria.
