Clergyman Chri Okafor Recounts 58-Day Abduction Ordeal in Anambra Kidnappers' Den

Chri Okafor, the founder of Grace Nation International, detailed his survival of a 58-day abduction in Anambra in 2012. Okafor, a senior pastor, narrated the ordeal during a press conference at his Lagos church.

He described traveling for crusades and being kidnapped after concluding one in Awka. Okafor and others were blindfolded, forced into a vehicle, and taken to an unknown location.

Despite a ransom being paid, they were held captive, sleeping on the floor, malnourished, and enduring beatings. Okafor highlighted the power of prayer and God's intervention, leading to their eventual release after 58 days.

The ordeal severely impacted his church, causing congregants to disperse temporarily. Okafor emphasized the role of faith in overcoming the traumatic experience.
