Kaiama Kidnap Victims Return Pregnant After Rescue

Stakeholders in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State revealed that some female victims abducted during the February 3 attack on Woro community returned from captivity pregnant, while others gave birth during their six-month ordeal. Alhaji Yakubu Salihu, National Chairman of the Kaiama Development Association, stated that 163 victims were rescued, but 13 individuals remain unaccounted for.

The Kwara State Government is arranging for the transportation of the rescued victims from Niger State to Ilorin for rehabilitation and resettlement. Salihu also highlighted the deplorable condition of roads leading to Kaiama and urged the state government to repair them.

He called for the establishment of a Nigerian Army battalion in the area to enhance security and prevent future attacks. The rescued victims are currently undergoing medical examinations and security screenings in Niger State before their return to Kwara.
