Kebbi Lawmaker Garba Maidoki Enters Politics Over Insecurity

Garba Maidoki, a lawmaker representing Kebbi South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, revealed that he joined politics primarily due to the insecurity affecting his area. He made this statement on Tuesday during his appearance as a guest on Channel Television's Politics Today.

Maidoki expressed that he has no interest in politics for personal gain but rather to ensure the safety and protection of his community. He indicated that the situation in his region has forced him to take action, stating, "better us ballot paper wise better us bullet." Maidoki is affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC) but has recently joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following unresolved internal conflicts within the APC, which were highlighted during the recent primary elections in Kebbi State.
