Malami Stands Firm on Governorship Ambition Amid EFCC Harassment

Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney General of the Federation, has publicly declared that he will not reconsider his ambition to run for governorship, despite facing harassment linked to operations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In an interview with newsmen, Malami expressed his frustration over the intimidation tactics employed against him, which he claims are politically motivated.

He highlighted that these operations coincided with his visit to prominent figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Malami emphasized his determination to pursue his constitutional rights and adhere to due process, stating that he will not be deterred by the alleged threats and harassment directed at him and his family.

He also mentioned that he had received a letter inviting him to respond to the EFCC's actions, which he views as an attempt to undermine his political aspirations.
