CSP Ali Giwa Appointed New Media Officer for NPF

CSP Ali Giwa has been appointed as the new media officer for the Nigeria Police Force, a move announced by IGP Disu as part of a reorganization of the force's public relations unit. This unit will be responsible for overseeing the force's digital communication and enhancing public engagement on online platforms.

The appointment follows the placement of DCP Anthony Okon as the previous head of the public relations office. CSP Giwa has a professional background that includes 15 years of experience in law enforcement, public order management, and cybercrime investigation.

He is currently a cybersecurity specialist at the Nigeria Police Force's National Cybercrime Center in Abuja. His previous roles include serving as a police assistant to the Deputy Inspector General of Police in the Logistics and Supply department from September 2023 to December 2024, and he has held various operational roles within the Lagos State Command, including crime officer and human rights officer.
