Hanga Challenges Kwankwaso Over Political Exclusion

Senator Rufai Sani Hanga, a former ally of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and part of the Kwankwasiyya movement, publicly criticized Kwankwaso during a radio program in Kano. Hanga expressed his discontent over being denied the opportunity to contest for the position of deputy governor or a Senate seat, attributing this denial to what he described as flimsy reasons related to his age and health.

He stated, “How can Kwankwaso cite my age and health condition to deny me the chance to contest?” Hanga asserted that he is currently healthier than Kwankwaso and challenged the validity of Kwankwaso's comments regarding his leg condition, calling them a sham. He also pointed out that Kwankwaso is two years older than him, questioning the age-related arguments made against him.

Hanga emphasized that his leg issue does not impede his legislative responsibilities and questioned Kwankwaso's age when he assumed the governorship.
