Adeyemi Ready for Probe into Alleged Council Fraud

Adeyemi, the Director-General of the Council, has stated his willingness to cooperate with an investigation directed by President Bola Tinubu concerning alleged fraudulent activities associated with the Council. The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has been instructed to conduct this investigation and submit a comprehensive report within 30 days.

Adeyemi has indicated that he possesses documents that could aid the investigation and is prepared to submit them to the Department of State Services (DSS) and the police. He has raised questions about the legitimacy of the Council's establishment and its budget allocation, alleging that the Council has been operating without proper authorization.

Furthermore, Adeyemi claims to have survived an attack by gunmen near Zuma Rock in September 2025 and maintains that the Council's activities are aimed at attracting foreign investment to Nigeria. He has called for an independent investigation to clarify the facts surrounding the allegations against him and the Council.
