Nigeria's Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo Declares Oct 1 Holiday

On September 30, the Federal Government of Nigeria announced that October 1 will be a public holiday in celebration of the country's 66th Independence Day. The declaration was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who extended congratulations to Nigerians both at home and abroad.

In his statement, Tunji-Ojo emphasized the necessity of peace and stability for national development and called on citizens to emulate the founding fathers' love for Nigeria. He expressed hope for the nation's future, highlighting that diversity is a strength and collective determination is essential for building a prosperous Nigeria.
