Jigawa PDP Endorses Candidates for 2027 Elections

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa State has officially endorsed three senatorial candidates for the upcoming 2027 general elections. This announcement follows a successful consensus endorsement process conducted across the state's three senatorial districts.

The candidates include Dr. Aminu Abdullahi for the Jigawa North West Senatorial District, who is a medical doctor and a former secretary to the state government under former Governor Sule Lamido.

For the Jigawa North East Senatorial District, Alhaji Salisu Mamuda, a former councillor from the defunct Social Democratic Party and former water resources commissioner during Lamido's administration, has been endorsed. Lastly, Alhaji Aminu Wada Abubakar has been endorsed for the Jigawa South West Senatorial District, recognized for his youth support and administrative experience.

The announcement was made by Umar Kyari Jitau, the PDP's public secretary in Jigawa State.
