KASU Partners with University of London for Distance Learning

Kaduna State University (KASU) is preparing to enter a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of London to advance distance learning initiatives. Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Education, announced this development during a conference held at the University of London.

The partnership aims to accelerate the transition of the educational system in Kaduna State to a technology-driven model that enhances global competitiveness. A high-powered delegation from Kaduna State, consisting of five professors, engaged with global experts in digital education.

The collaboration will focus on building capacity in digital distance learning and will include the deployment of a central learning management system. Additionally, both institutions will conduct joint research and academic exchange programs, with the University of London providing technical support for digital learning infrastructure.

This initiative is part of ongoing reforms in the Kaduna State education sector, particularly in expanding hybrid and computer-based testing systems.
