ADC in Katsina State Faces Leadership Crisis with Rival Chairmen

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Katsina State faced a significant leadership crisis, leading to the organization of two parallel congresses on Tuesday and Thursday. The congress held on Tuesday resulted in Musa Wamba being elected as the state chairman, with Nasir Umar appointed as the secretary general.

Conversely, a separate congress on Thursday produced Moham Rimi as the chairman and Abubakar Adhama as the secretary general. The national secretariat of the ADC previously rejected the Tuesday congress, labeling it unauthorized and insisting that a congress would be scheduled for a later date.

This internal conflict is exacerbated by growing tensions within the party, particularly following the defection of several politicians who disagreed with the party's leadership structure. The situation has deepened uncertainty regarding the party's leadership in Katsina State.
