Krav Maga Nigeria Launches Self-Defence Seminar in Lagos

Krav Maga Nigeria conducted its inaugural self-defence seminar on Lagos Island at Pinefield Schools, Lekki, on Saturday. The seminar, titled ‘From Threat to Attack,’ was facilitated by Adebola Otubushin, the director of Krav Maga Nigeria and the IKMF Director for Africa since 2020.

The event aimed to equip participants with skills to recognize danger, make sound decisions, and protect themselves. Drills included protective stances, movement, defence-to-counterattack techniques, and responses to knife threats.

Otubushin expressed satisfaction with the turnout, noting that many participants were new to the system yet eager to continue training. He emphasized the importance of self-defence in current times.

Prior to this seminar, three international seminars had been held in Lagos, with plans for strategic expansion across Nigeria. Participants, including professional fitness coach Maje Ayida and taekwondo athlete Sherifah Hassan, praised the seminar for its focus on both physical and mental development.
