Kwara APC Aspirants Demand Refunds Over Flawed Primaries

A coalition of aspirants who contested for the All Progressives Congress (APC) tickets for the Kwara State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections has formally demanded refunds for expenses related to nomination forms, campaigns, and consultations. This demand follows their assessment of the party's primary election process, which they deemed flawed.

The statement was signed by key coalition members, including Chairman Hon. Chief Olu Adewara and Co-Chairmen Hon. (Engr.) Kazeem Bukoye, Hon. (Engr.) Sikirullahi Abdulkareem Oladimeji, and Hon.

Muhammad Shaba. The coalition alleges that many aspirants were unjustly excluded from the primaries after being labeled “uncleared” by the state party leadership, despite having completed all necessary requirements and receiving clearance from the national leadership of the APC.

They argue that this exclusion represents a political injustice and call for the party to review these circumstances, compensate affected aspirants, and ensure fair treatment moving forward.
