Kwara NSCDC Enhances Security for Sallah Celebrations

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced heightened security measures in anticipation of the Sallah celebrations. This decision follows a strategic security review meeting held in Ilorin, where command spokesperson Ayoola Shola communicated the need for improved internal security coordination.

The meeting involved heads of various departments and area commands, assessing the current security landscape and identifying emerging threats such as kidnapping, banditry, and vandalism. NSCDC Commandant Abba Ndah emphasized the urgency of reassessing existing strategies to effectively tackle evolving security challenges.

The command aims to enhance intelligence gathering and sharing to detect and disrupt potential criminal activities. Tactical units have been instructed to maintain constant vigilance, particularly in vulnerable locations, ensuring a 24-hour security presence.

The command also stressed the importance of inter-agency collaboration to prevent crime effectively, assuring residents of increased surveillance and proactive personnel deployment during the Sallah celebrations.
